When you choose Sun Ray Addiction for your drug and alcohol rehabilitation, the first step on the path to your recovery is going through a safe detoxification process. Generally, when people who are struggling with a drug or alcohol addiction have been using for an extended period of time, they are likely to experience withdrawal symptoms, which can be uncomfortable (and in some cases, potentially fatal).
Our Detox Partners
For the safety of our clients, we team up with private detox partners who specialize this phase of the recovery process. The medical professionals at our detox partner locations make sure that clients who are breaking their alcohol and drug addiction get proper medical attention during detox. In the event that clients need alternative medication to treat severe withdrawal symptoms, staff members are standing by to help. Our partners ensure that clients are comfortable and safe throughout their stay at the facility.
Please keep in mind that alcohol and drug detox is never something you should do on your own. Addiction is a complex disease that requires medical oversight to protect the health and well-being of the person detoxifying from these dangerous substances.
A medically supervised detox is the only way to maintain good health during this period of the recovery process. Never try to do this at home!
What to Expect
We always respect the privacy of our clients. We take great care to make sure that patients’ health and well-being are a top priority, both during their stay with us and while working with our partner providers. Patients who are arriving for rehab by airplane are met at the airport by one of our staff members, who will then escort them to one of our private or medical detox partner facilities. Once checked in, clients detox under the supervision of medical staff and other professionals who monitor their progress. If needed, our detox partners are able to administer authorized medications in extreme cases of withdrawal, which will help patients get through this initial phase of their alcohol and drug treatment.
Leaving the Detox Partner Facility
Once the staff of our detox partner facility has cleared the patient and they’ve completed their detoxification safely, they move on to the next phase of the rehabilitation process. One of our staff members returns to the detox partner location, where he or she will transport the client to our modern rehab facility to continue therapy. Clients have their choice of 30, 60, or 90-day programs to meet their individual recovery needs.
